Genie Backup Manager Home edition gives regular users an efficient means of backing up their important data. A wizard will help you create backup jobs and another wizard will help you restore data from the backups. Backup jobs can be run immediately after being created, they can be saved and edited from the user friendly interface, or a schedule can be put in place and the jobs will be run according to that schedule. You’ll see that you won’t have any problems accessing the comprehensive and powerful functionality Genie Backup Manager puts at your disposal.

Genie Backup Manager will run on a machine that meets the following requirements: Intel Pentium Processor or better, AMD Athlon 64 processor, 512MB of RAM memory (1GB recommended), 200MB of free disk space, Internet Explorer 6 or newer, Windows operating system (Xp, Vista, 7, or 8).
You can install Genie Backup Manager in one of several supported languages, mainly English, Deutsch, Nederlands, Español, Français and Italiano. A simple setup wizard will guide you through the installation process.

The interface puts two display modes at your disposal: Normal Mode and Easy Mode. I found both to be quite easy to use. True to its name, the Easy Mode is a bit simpler than the Normal Mode, but that isn’t to say that the Normal one is difficult. I repeat, both of them are quite easy to use.

From the application’s user friendly interface you can access the following functionality: create backup jobs (a wizard will help you out), restore data from backups (another wizard will help you), edit backup jobs, set backup jobs to run according to a schedule, back up data to a variety of locations, test data integrity, enable sound alerts, set up email notifications, and more. You have a 30 day trial period to explore and uncover all this application’s features.

Genie Backup Manager is available as Home and as a Professional edition.

Create backup jobs, set up a schedule for the jobs, restore data from backups – these things and more can very easily be done with Genie Backup Manager.

Pros

The system requirements for running Genie Backup Manager aren’t very high. The application provides support for multiple languages. There are two modes for the interface: Normal and Easy Mode. A wizard will help you create backup jobs and restore data. There are numerous settings to play with. There are two Genie Backup Manager editions to choose from: Home and Professional Edition.

Cons

30-day trial; nag screen.
